I have a diff with a welded spider gear in my 1989 Road race track car now and am looking to put in a S-15 HLSD guts I have. I have gone through the archives for most forums,
am not found a definitive guide to what I need to do to put one in. I know I need S-15 output shafts. What else to put it into the S-13 pumpkin? Do I need to change anything else on the car? Where can I get a Good price on S-15 output shafts? What I have been told from the 240sx clubs/forums is that to put a S15 Helical LSD (guts) in a S-13 Pumpkin you need a set of S15 output shafts or that a 90-96 Non Turbo 300ZX output stubs fit? But Aren't the 300zx too longfor a S-13? Wern't Helical LSD's used only in some of the S15's? Are these output shafts differnt than the rest of the S15's? Also I have been told to get a 30 spine-30.75mm dia. outputs? Part Number Right flange: 38220-29u00 Part Number Left Flange: 38220-29u01 Is any of this correct????? Since S15's were never brought here, All is hear say here in the US. What I need is the S-15 correct shafts or a Nissan/Nismo PN, or a USDM shaft that will work. Help !!! Thank you! or you can save youself the trouble of sourcing/importing/ghettorigging an S15 Helical and get a Quiafe
i dont know if any of that is true and it looks iffy. JDM axles/outputs have different bolt patterns for one and i know that the Turbo Z uses a completly different Pumkin than the S chassis but i dont know about the N/A. |

S15 HLSD to S13
I already have the Hlsd. We are on a Tight budget and so far can get Kaaz or Qualife to donate a diff. We have the HLSD and multipe pumpkins so we were going to try and get output shafts....but what?
Thank you John |

Most people that I have heard of putting in a S15 diff usually put on the entire rear subframe.....
you defintely need the axels for the diff side that are made for it. |

yeah i caught that Dousan on Zilvia.net was doing that.
Anyway... If you manage to get the S15 Diff in your current housing your gonna need more than Output Shafts. The JDM Outputs / Axles have different Bolt patterns than The USDM ones for one. Plus the S15 has more suspension parts in common with the S14 than the S13 i.e - the JDM S15 Axles will probably not fit. |

Re: S15 HLSD Hhelical Diff in a S13
Go to SPLparts.net, and give them a call, ask for Alan. He knows more about Nissan Suspension than anyone I have ever met, and they will get you anything you need at a very good price.
