Performance Fuel Pump
I'm pretty sure that my fuel pump took a shit on me and I went to my local auto parts store (autozone) to get a stock replacement. Then I found out the cost 200 bucks and have to be ordered. I look on ebay and found a Walbro 255 fuel pump for 90 bucks. It is claimed for up to 500 hp and comes with all the install hardware etc... the only thing I'm worried about are my stock injectors. Can they handle the increased psi?

that is a tough one, i am getting a 255 and look at my setup, turbo, big injectors, many mods.
I do see that stock pump cost more that AfterMarket ones, I really suggest that for a pretty stock motor, yet alone, injectors. A 255 will be to much. You would benifit from getting a 155 or 195, which ever one they sell. A 255 will be to much for a stock fuel setup.

Adding a 255lph fuel pump to a stock, naturally aspirated engine with bolt ons is like drinking more than 8 glasses of water a day. It's overkill, but won't hurt anything.
Hondas (and most other cars) have a fuel return line which sends all the unused fuel from the engine back to the fuel tank. I have one and haven't had any problems at all, but I have a jdm B16 swap. I'm sure my stock DX pump would have provided enough juice, but I installed the Walboro as a precaution. Buy the Walboro since it's cheaper and won't hurt your car in any way. |
