Unhappy 91 accord door wont open

HELPPP!!! I have a 91' Honda Accord, driver side door lock would not release. I have checked all rods and connections everything in there is functuning and moving but the release mechanism is not doing its thing. I even drilled a hole in the door and used a wire to grasp the lever that would release the lock but to no avail that lever is loose. HELP!!

wow. thats quite a problem then...hmm you could always take it to the dealer or pretty much any shop and they could probably just break the lock, might damage it a litte...

thanks

I have a 90 four door accord with the same problem, only I have shaved door handles. My old door accuators went out, so the doors will not open using remote.
What I did was take off the middle panel on the door and hand pulled the rod to open the door. That worked for the right front door. I have not tried the drivers sided door yet, because of the screwy accuators it would unclock and then immediately re-lock when I used the remote. I bought new accuators and 35 lb poppers for both doors, just have not installed them yet. My accord has a 95 H22a JMD in it and I think my starter is not working, but that is for another thread.
AS soon as I solve the starting problem, I will tackle the doors problem.
Keep me posted on how you finally got your door to open and I shall do the same. Oh yeah, I assume you also pulled the middle panels and tried to hand pull the rod? Good luck
