Mothers Wax/Cleaner Wax

I wash my car with Mothers California Gold Car Wash and I wanted to wax it but I don't know which product to use. Right now I am looking at Mothers California Gold Original Formula Carnauba Cleaner Wax but I also saw the California Gold Natural Formula Pure Carnauba Wax - Phase 3 at the auto shop. So my question is which one should I use? I want to protect the paint and have a nice shine and I heard that Mothers is one of the best products out there. Thanks guys.

By the way, I have a '94 3000GT SL if that makes any difference....

The best results would be to by Phase 1 which is the cleaner wax. It really rids the paint of pollution and some sun damage. This takes a LOT of elbow grease, but is really worth it in the end. After this, use Phase 2 if you plan to use Phase 3. Phase 2 brings out the color of the paint and makes it really pop the eye. Phase 3 is, as you said, a pure wax, so it will just seal off what you have just accomplished with the other 2 Phases. If you would like to go with something that is less work and will probably work even better, go with the Phase 1, but skip 2+3. Now use Meguiars new Tech wax. This is a polymer wax that removes fine scratches and accomplishes Phase 2+3 in one easy step. Also, this option will look better due to the Tech wax's advanced formula. At your local auto parts store, these 2 will run you about $20 together. It's $5 for the cleaner, and $15 for the Tech wax. Hope this helps your baby shine!!

Re: Mothers Wax/Cleaner Wax

Hey Rod&Custom, thanks for the info. I'll probably try the 3 step process but I couldn't find the products for phase 1 and 2. Maybe I'll try a different shop...but thanks.
