Cutting out

Hey guys I need help!

I have a 96 dakota with the 3.9, and it has 110,000 miles on it. Lately it has started to cut out really bad every now and again. It usually occurs after I drive it for a while, shut it down, and then after it is warm start driving again. It never does it to me on the first drive of the day. It also happens in the 1500-2500 RPM range.

It was getting really hard to start, and finally figured out that fuel pump was losing its prime, so I thought by ripping the bed off, replacing the pump, filter, and module, I would be killing two birds with one stone. I only killed one! It still cuts out. The plugs and wires are new. Any ideas?

I had a bad Ignition Coil once that cut off when hot and after cooling the motor it would work for awhile longer. Just a thought.

Thanks for the replies,

Ill have to check the coil, as for the check engine light, it is not on. It was before I replaced the the fuel pump, because there was an excess of gas in the exhaust from cranking on it for a long time before it would start.
