Is my Car Stolen
Is anyone out there doing carfax reports? Somebody gave me a car and I want to find out if it is stolen. The only way the police will tell you is if they come out and do an inspection. I don't get along real well with the police in my district so I am trying to avoid this. I would really appreciate it if someone could tell me.

Re: Is my Car Stolen
Option 1) Make an appointment to meet with a detective at the precinct office in another district.
Option 2) Go to the DWV and inquire there. In fact, when you have the registration changed to your name, one would think it would be flagged if the car VIN had been reported stolen. (License plate and VIN are tied when the vehicle is registered.) Option 3) Pay for a Carfax report? |
