mustang GTR & the mustang cobra r
what do you guys think... will the mustang GTR take over in place of the mustang cobra r ? ? ?

well, the GT R will definately be faster, and out perform the cobra in every category id suspect.

seems like a dumb question to me... the GTR is just a concept, as well as being a stripped down racecar with no creature comforts at all. whereas the cobra r was actually a production car with ac and power stuff (as far as i know) and not a dedicated race car. i'd say there's no comparison. perhaps they'll produce a new cobra r. they've done it for every body style since '93. but it wont' be for a few years at least, and not at all until after the new cobra hits the streets. and even once they do make it, they're capped by teh GT. why would they make a car faster than the GT and hurt its sales?

actually the cobra r didnt have ac or radio etc... it was a stock road racer. not as extreme as the gtr but like u said its a concept, itll be toned down a bit. and it wouldnt hurt gt sales cause itll cost upwards of 60 g's, theyd prolly realease around 300 or so wont affect the gt in any way.
