Looking 4 good build up. NON/vtec

I was gathering the parts I need for a LS/VTEC build, but I've been hearing good things about anti/vtec b18's. Is anyone out there making good numbers without port and polish head? N/A motors only. If so, what have you done. I've ordered CTR pistons, but might down grade to ITR pistons. I'm not sure if I need that much compression. OPINIONS PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Skip All That, Get A Turbo Kit, Or Swap A Gsr Or Type R Motor.

Thats cute. I started that thread months ago.

I was looking for a all motor build up. When I said N/A, I meant naturally aspirated. Meaning, no turbo, no supercharger, no n2o. Thanks for the input though. Ls/turbos are great.

Well if you are still on the N/A non vtec mind set then I can help ya out.

I know guys that have real strong N/A LS's. Most of them are using a B20 block and have head work with Crower 62404 and 62405 cams. Basically without head work the B18A/B is not going to produce alot of hp N/A. The LS head flows like crap, but it can flow enough to yeild good results.

So what now, u can't use an ls b18b1 block? I thought u can fix those internal build inside out with an ls too. Put some je pistons- rings- bearings-rods, crowers cam shaft, spoon cam gear, fludine radiator, plus maybe polish the head, edlebroke manifold, spoon throttle body, rsr header and slap on a vtec head b16a1-2-b18c1-5 with oil pump. Spray some wd-40 to loose up the tight bolts-lubricate and clean the engine. Massive air induction into the piston and wake up the frankenstien. Go agianst gsr with that, i wonder how much that will be?

1: he said non vtec silver bullet.
Anyway as far as I know you can get her pretty quick N/A without vtec but the good thing about vtec is you can have a NA beast in upper rpm's and still maintain good idle and everyday drive-ability. with an LS I you can still make an NA beast but you may lose that smooth idle and easy daily driveability.

2: B18ls... you were banned... multiple times I believe. Why are you back and why have you not been banned again? At least change the name abit and not reply to threads you made with the other name... geez. I'm sure you realize by now its against user guidelines to make a new name. If you were banned by accident or something or you have already settled with the mods then I apologize for bringing this up.
