Re: drag racing...

I explained it to you in the last thrend here you started. Put the car in 1st with the clutch in. Then rev to 4000-5000 rpms and when its time to go pop the clutch and put your foot to the floor. The AWD will do the rest.

If you can stage shallow, and get a rolling start, that will help as well. If it's a straight up street race, agree with the above. That, and practice, practice, practice your power shifts before the race (try not to miss 3rd. That's were a lot of races are won).

Power shifting is once you have the throttle to the floor, leave it there as you row through the gears.

alright heres the deal...at best you have a 1.8T NON-quattro...which produces 150 hp and weighs in at 2998 lbs...0-60 somewhere around 8 secs with a manny tranny...maybe just over ...at best he has a 2 dr integra trype r which produces 195 hp and weighs in at 2639 lbs...0-60 in about 6.7 secs and just a little more for an auto...depending on how well you can shift you COULD win...however...youll probably lose...but at worst he has the 4 dr GS which only produces 140 hp and weighs 2725 lbs with 0-60 around 8.8 secs...in this case you SHOULD win...but what im showing you is that you having a manny tranny doesnt mean youll win...there is no reason you should be expecting a W for yourself...he will probably get the win becuase it likely that he has a lighter, more powerful car...just remember that audi didnt make the 1.8T engine to be a street beast...the car you drive is a luxury "sports" sedan...not a race car...always keep that in mind

congrats...you beat the 4-dr...you should have...thats exactly what i said should have happened...but my main point was that you having the manny doesnt get the win automatically...he could have very well had the type r and beat you with or without a manny tranny...if a person has less weight and more power they SHOULD win...you happened to have at least 200+ more lbs on him and 10 extra hp...i guess that got you the W...like i said it should have...oh and next time give as many details about your car and the other persons car so we dont have to guess at which trim you both have
