Ok weird noise coming out of my S10 2000 V6.
Driving on the Detroit roads, I went over a bump in the road maybe going around 30-40 miles per hour, and right after I hear a loud buzzing sound coming from behind me. Yupp, a buzzing sound, it sounds like my clothes drier when it finishes its cycle, but I don't know if all driers make the same sound. Anyway, the best to describe it is a buzz. Anyway, I figure it something with the fuel pump, I've read that these make such a buzzing sound if there is a sudden drop in fuel pressure, the only thing I'm trying to figure out why hitting a bump in the road would cause a sudden fuel pressure. Well, I don't know for sure if it was the fuel pump, it whined down about after one minute, that was about a month ago, its driven fine since then but still i would like to know what the heck it was. Anybody else encountered this?

I just bought a 2000 s10 with a v6 and no more than a week it started to buzz. It is right behind me and when i get out of the truck to listen it is right near the fuel tank. I think you're right about the fuel pump and am goign to take mine in under warranty and get it fixed. I'll let oyu know whenever i take it in.

Re: hit a bump, loud buzzing sound
I think it is your anti-locking brakes. Do you have them?
