Best way to get 300+hp from my 3SGTE engine?

I have a stock 1990 celica turbo all-trac that I would like to start increasing the performance on. I am going to pull the engine and am looking to rebuild it with 300+ HP. Problem is I don't want to waste any time or money on products that it doesn't need. Can anyone help me with suggestions as what to do to get the power I'm looking for. I am a big fan of low rpm power so a turbo that spools up quickly is important, any suggestions as to which one to upgrade to or will a retuned stock one work?

Stick with the stock one, they`re OK, a bigger turbo will take longer to get up to speed so increase turbo lag, Start with a superchip or similar. Uprated wastegate for your turbo, this increases pressure, with this you will probably need a bigger fuel pump/injectors but you would have to check on that. You might not get the power you want and maintain the reliablity of the car??????

Yow all you have to do is get your hands on a Modified Mag. for the month of August 2004. Centerforce has a 1990 Celica GT 3SGTE in there with 397 whp and they state their upgrades.........take notes!

Thats what i'd call BAD advice. 1st of all the stock CT26 doesnt hold boost until redline, an upgrade would be a very much welcome idea. Perhaps a CT20B, or getting your CT26 ugpraded by ATSracing, they have a new upgrade for the turbo that makes it capabel of 300+RWHP.

Also certain T3/T3 turbos with a 46 trim are known to have stock spool up but they can handle the boost more efficiently than the CT26.
