Vehicle:1990 Buick Electra Park Avenue w/Electronic Climate Control
I am experiencing a blower/climate control problem. Basically, the air coming from the outlets is VERY restricted (actually, it bearly releases any air at all). I can hear the blower fine and the different speeds work. I believe the system needs frion since in AC mode, only warm air is emitted. Any ideas? Andrew |

Re: 1990 Park Ave Blower Problem
This could only be a simple venting problem. No vacumn.
The heater/ac normally defaults the airflow out the defroster or heater. To send it out the front vents, air redirecting valves, which run on vacumn, redirect the airflow out your vents. Check under the hood, on firewall, near master cylinder. Look for a small vacumn line going to a connection on the the firewall. There will be a second line coming from the firewall (from heater/ac) connected adjacent to the first. Look for a split or disconnected hose. |

Re: 1990 Park Ave Blower Problem
Your evaporator my be clogged. Remove the blower module and look inside at the evaporator. They collect dirt especially if there is a freon leak. Squirt in some Simpe Orange and wash with garden hose pressure nozzle.
