Vibration noise or something please help!!!!

I have a 1991 Camaro RS with a 305. Car runs and drives great, runs strong and auto tranny shifts perfect. But when ever im driving slow in town, ill be going like 35-40 mph will still be in overdrive. When ever i give my car a little gas, the engine will start making a rattling noise or something, kinda sounds like diesel engine or something, The sound sounds like it's coming from the throttle body unit, but not sure. I was told that it was a spark knock, but i had put in premium gas and boosted it up with octang booster, and it still done it. I also changed the plugs and wires, and it still does it.

the check engine soon light also comes on after about 15 minutes of driving. i took the car to another mechanic and he said the noise could be an oxygen sensor.

it only does it when u give it a little bit of gas while driving slow and the rpms are real low. If I quickly push the gas then in, then it just downshifts to the next lower gear, and just makes the noise for a quick second.

i have pics of my car here is the link to see my car.

I would also someday like to convert it to a targa top. put on some subframe connecters. I want it professionally done or do it from a targa kit. Does anyone know of a targa top kit? I think they should make them.

check it for codes if you have a check engine light, that'll most likely tell you where your problem is.

I dont think there is a targa top kit but theres a couple people at www.thirdgen.org that are in the process of doing it and I think one or two have finished.

My car makes the same kind of rattling noise when I get on it. I finally figured out thats its my air tube going to my catalytic converter. Its all rusted and broke away from the cat so its not really connected to anything and bounces around making a clanging noise.

Maybe give that a check its easy to feel for.

Re: Vibration noise or something please help!!!!

the only way an O2 sensor will make noise is if its loose, as in unscrewed, which is very unlikely, as for the other symptoms, check your trans fluid level, if its low, it will cause impropor shifting and such.
