Angry Evaportor Housing Cracked

Hello my fellow Chevy Drivers.

I have a 1996 Chevy Blazer LT 4 door model, (Wife's Truck)
I drive a modest car "a 1995 Oldsmobile Aurora, color "Cherry Red".

In any case, I noticed the plastic housing that encloses the evaporator that is connect the AC.(That large silver tube sits right in front of it and connected to it). is cracked and a few pieces fell off it open and
exposed.I taped it back shut with (yes) that American cure all "duct tape".

OK,I can get the part, but how do you change it, will you need to disconnect the metal silver tube to install a new one.

Or just keep using duct tape to hold it back in place.

Any input would be helpful.
