As much as I like to poke fun at Daewoo. I've got to hand it to them. They make nice affordable cars with great company maintence plans. My buddy phily can vouch for this. He got his car really cheap! I really like the interior of this car, too. I'm just trying to represent the Daewoo crowd up in here!

To me, the lanos looks like some european rally car (anyone know what I mean). But, I wouldn't buy one.

I think Hyundai, Daewoo and Kia will do what the Japs managed to do back in the 70's - create cars that are good enough to challenge the best from Europe. Just give the Koreans time and they'll be up there one day.
I'm a Daewoo enthusiast NOT because of their stupid performance, but because of the styling of some of their cars. The Leganza looks great, the Joyster is funky, the Kalos is stylish, the Bucrane is the best looking Asian sports car and the Shiraz is more elegant than any other Lexus', Acura's or Infinitis. Don't get me wrong, I'm no Jap-hater. In fact, I admire the Japs more than Korea. But I'm just pointing out that the Koreans will be where the Japs are. |

I wasnīt an enthusiast until I owned one and realized I was wrong about koreans (I think just Daewoo) and now, 4 years later, the only problem I had was a little noise/vibration coming from the front door some weeks ago and got it fixed by the dealer. Maintenaince is sooo cheap! Iīm really glad I have it, itīs fun and nicely loaded. Iīd like to get the Leganza but here is a bit more expensive, damn they still donīt offer a V6 in it! Anywise the brand is quite popular. |

My mom has one, they have NO pickup and NO top speed, but they are a very nice looking car.. design and style is very luxurious, but the engine is trash. Swap it with a VTEC v6 and turbo it, then you have yourself a nice ride, for a 50 year old! hehe

hehe what's up guys
i can see my friend Johnny posted here well my parents have a leganza cause i went on this daewoo trip to korea about 2 years ago. in return for going on that trip the company gave these college students a 50% dsicount for buying these cars. So i got a fully loaded leganza for only 11 grand I'd have to say its pretty nice. Its like an accord with a 4 banger. Apparently, daewoo's have something called Dtec just like the Vtec in hondas. Obviously not as powerful, but it does its job. Would i personly get one? of course not, but if i'm on a tight budget and i need a economical and practical car then daewoo is the way to go. |

Im not prejudice Daewoo, I've lived in Korea for eight years, so I've sat in one a dozen times (actually, I think more) but never droven one, although I don't really think they're driver-cars. Cheapo materials and quality interior lets down otherwise OK design. More exciting than most Japanese cars though. Cheaper, even! But I wouldn't buy one.. I'd keep saving for a european car...
