I started observing a distinct humming noice from the engine when idle in 1998 V6 Honda accord that has about 90K miles. The noice is not audible when driving because of the road noice. Wondering if something is about to break down. Any advice/suggestion will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance... |

It comes from the engine?? (under the hood). It is really annoying when stopped at traffic lights. I let the engine in idle and opened the hood to made sure its some where from the engine. Thanks in advance ... |

Re: Distinct humming noice from the engine when idle
Dear Accord Owner,
only thing I can think of is a humming that comes from an Overly tightened timing belt. Wished i knew if you just had them replaced! if a Bar Shop did the repairs, you DO have some recourse! Take Care, loverofyahshua, dj ><> /\ |
