intake?
on my 96 grand am 3.1 i put a new cone on my stock intake and when i took out the stock air box there was a plug in it was some sort of senor i believe and now my check engine light is on i am assumeing that is the reason it is on so what can i do to get the light to turn off?

That is the air intake temp. sensor. It tell the computer the ambient air coming in to adjust parameters. You need to put that back in line with the incoming air duct. Then since you have OBDII, you will need a scan tool to clear the codes, and thats it. Many places will loan a scan tool for free.
