Ok, had my share of problems with my 98 GT, the alternator, the headlights falling apart, the brown coolant, the radio steering wheel controls!! Now, I have a new problem, the blower only works on 4, and 5, 2 days ago it worked on 3!! I have seen so many different ideas as to what this problem is, and I dont really wanna have to change the motor, resistor, ing. switch, and everything else, SO, what is the best way to go here, the dealer says to go ahead and change the ign. switch, and harness... Thanks

Re: Blower Motor!!!!!
sounds like the ignition switch is the winner. not sure of the costs but from different forums and other's posts here it tends to be the best fix.

Re: Blower Motor!!!!!
I had this same problem and all i did was replace the blower motor resistor. Which was good b/c the part only
cost about 20 bucks. |

Re: Blower Motor!!!!!
Smart move! Change the cheaper part first and if that doesn't work go to the next step. If the fan speed went gradually then the resistor is a good bet. The fan only needs replaced if the motor is making noise. As for the ignition switch if the resistor doesn't work go to plan B.
