Soon to Come!

Hypertec is making a power programmer for the 3400 sfi engines , and informed me that its in the dyno process. Power programing is the better way to go and Ive been waiting for this product for almost 2 years even tho its too late for me.

What's a power programmer? Does it let you program your ECM anyway you want it - like tweaked out for what you're going to go do or what? Is it something worth getting if you're on a lowbudget, or only good if you're goin to the tracks every weekend?

Re: Soon to Come!

Can't say I'd buy one. They're good for stock motors but don't do so well for modded engines. Go here http://www.hypertech.com/programmer.html if you think you want one.

Re: Soon to Come!

Hypertec is still in the dyno process with the power tuner , you can change you air/fuel ratios , shifting points , tow/haul settings increase or decrease performance (in case you have to lend it to your gf or bf who ever drives scary) theres alot of things it could do. It will work really well on a modified engine because all the settings can be played with to cator to your performance upgrades (in other words you gotta dick around to find what works better). I played with one in a modified F-350 6.0 diesal and they guarantee a 40hp and 100lbs increase in performance as well as advanced shifting points. With the 5 speed automatic it acted like a race car for acceleration and never got turbo lag untill you let off at low rpm at start past end of last gear top speed. However picks up from the lag better as well. The mods were a turbo upgrade kit with boost balancer and waste gate , 3 1/2 exhaust (catless) dual intercooler, 2nd transmission line cooler and fulltime/part time fan switch. Also has a propane fumigation kit installed in the intake with a 100lbs propane tank in the box. The fumigator adds 25hp and 80lbs also amps the cfms up. The shop foremans gonna dyno it and tell us the 1/4 mile times and 0-60 times with a g-tec pro.sorry so long of text.
