Unhappy And another one bites the dust...

After 13 faithful years in service, my 91 Metro was totaled today. On I-95 headed southbound in Jacksonville, a Mercedes-Benz clipped me in my passenger rear end and sent me into a spin. I spun one time, hit the guard rail at 70 MPH with my front end, and spun again. The Benz fled the scene. Couldn't have asked the little guy to perform any better in a collision at those speeds. No interior damage, and the doors still opened. No shattered glass either. I walked away from yet another serious collision in a Metro. Who said they were unsafe cars? Anyways, thanks for all the help here, especially from geozukigti. I'll try and get some pics of him before he's shipped away to the junkyard.

Oh damn, that sucks I feel your pain there. They are beastly in accidents. I've seen several of them in serious high speed accidents, and everyone has walked away. A guy on TeamSwift got nailed head on by a bread truck at 45mph, and he walked away with a cut on his head from his 6" tach he had bolted to the dash. Maybe it's time to do a GT or convertible project .
Glad to see you're ok man. I've got a Lincoln I'm selling for a grand soon if ya need a car .

Sorry to hear about this. I am also glad no one was hurt, I haven't been Benz hunting in awhile, let me know if you want to put up a bounty! Just kidding!

Alls well that ends well I guess. I picked up a very very nice one owner 1996 Geo Prizm. Brand new engine and trans, new A/C and tires. $1800 out the door. I don't particularly care for Prizms, but this one was a steal at $1800.

If its no to late, grab the 91 owners manual. My 91 is missing it and really need one!!

Sorry to hear about your accident. I always wonder what it would be like to have one at 70mph!

If your's has the stock radio, I could use it too!!

Dang, 91's interior parts are different than new years, to bad you can't part the thing out before you take it to the junk yard..

I never had the 91 book lol. I just stuck the owner's portfolio from my 92 in there with all the 92 stuff. I grabbed it, but unfortunately, he's long gone. I don't know where the wrecker took him.
