Question need a/c im sweatin by balls off

this is how it went got this 90 red si hatch for real cheap cause the a/c compressor bearings were shot, so i put on a good used compressor from my other hatch 91 dx teal, which i thought was good pulled vacuum added 4oz ester oil convert to 134a, and 27oz 134a and ran and found that clutch would slip once pressure would build. oh also replaced reciever/dryer. got another used compressor did everything over ran it again the clutch would engage then start smoking and it made a busting sound from engine area. thinking i had a clog in the system i took it all apart and blew through each part with compressed air but did not find any blockage am i crazy or is the compressor shot or what pleaz its hot out here thanks

Was it the right compressor? From what I understand there are 2 brand's and you have to use the brand that came on the car at 1st and cant interchange.

I think there is too much stuff in the system, either oil or r134a. Bring it to an A/C shop for a measured recharge (it should be cheap because it sounds like you've done all the mechanical work). GL
