Re: Confused with Photoshop 6 Help! Lemorris! anyone!

I was about to talk crap to you about having to use a guide to figure out Photoshop... But I looked at the link... Woah.

Pretty neat. I use Maya and FormZ to render and generate my own car designs. And I must say, his are not bad at all.

Glad I opened this...

Re: Re: Confused with Photoshop 6 Help! Lemorris! anyone!

Ok i found the soft brush and i see what the polygon lasso tool does. But the question is how does he make those shades. If i use the soft brush all i got is white lines, they dont blend in like his.

problem with layers

i followed that tut as well, but i cannot get the "magnify" option to display UNDER the sketch layer. i don't get it. the layer i "sent to back" is un-seeable when i apply color to it. the pen sketch layer hides it eventhough i assigned it "multiply." is there something else i'm missing?

help.

also, how do you polygonal lasso/select more than one region at a go without erasing or deselecting the region you just made?

hold shift to select more than one region, and alt to create a 'hole' in a region with the lasso tool

I tried doing the brush stuff with the airbrush and it worked. Its like he missed some small steps that HE might find unimportant.

With the shape selected, Click layer and go down to rasterize. Then, lower the opacity of the shape's layer, so you can see the bumper behind it. Use the lasso tool to outline the area where the wheel overlaps the bumper, an hit backspace. Then turn the opacity up again

Re: Confused with Photoshop 6 Help! Lemorris! anyone!

wow

I missed all of this.

Mshkttck is right.

Shift adds, alt subtracts.

To get a smooth rounded shape you can use the free form selection tool, or use the pen and bezier curve tool. Click and drag in mid-points of your curve with the pen tool. Once you reach your starting point ctrl + click on the shape pallet. This will turn it into a selection.

You know what...I think I'll make a tutorial using a new tool I got at work called Articulate.

Here's a sample: (warning it's boring hospital crap)

http://www.misysimentor.com/homecare...ers/index.html

more on this selection stuff soon.

wow. you were not kidding, lemorris. that toot of the "misys" thing is so stale and unimaginably square. i think that would bore the perkiest individual into a coffin. but a photoshop toot in that vein: priceless.
