ok this is sucking

well I haven't posted much lately cause the cars sits.. not sure if its suitable to post this in this area, but I'm craving to drive it and surprise the crap out of people All though before I did put it away I stomped a V8 T-bird, guess that was nothing, but the 2 kids were laughing my dad and I got the last one. Course when I looked back a mile or 2 I did see some red flashing lights, not sure if they were for me I didn't wait to see.

just been installing the intercooler, have progress pics here for those interested. http://formula.cryptnix.com/ic.htm

I'll be back soon with story's

You made reference to a street race, that's good enough for me! Kep us informed....from one Pontiac fan to another, how's the Fiero been for you? I don't have alot of experience with them other than i raced a stock 4cyl. one when i had my old Dodge Colt, we were dead even the hole way, LOL!!

Re: ok this is sucking

been a rather fun car, funnest one I've driven, almost drives like a go kart for handling anyways. The 2.8 was 135 hp 170 TQ and I was pulling 15.1@89 in the 1/4. This motor made the car potent, in my opinion the car looked faster then it ever was. Course GM killed it before it ever got a real good motor all aluminum 2.8 turbo, V8, 3.2 DOHC, never had a 3.2 most likely would've gotten the 3.4.

My only gripe is that it uses a FWD tranny, and GM is to lazy to make a FWD manual that can hold power

haven't had to many kills with the new exhaust people won't pull up and make their smart ass comments anymore

few vids here, I'll update this later on http://formula.cryptnix.com/carvidz.htm

I'll most likely post back with an update when its on the road, thanks for the comments!

Didn't they make a V6 with some guts to it? I heard those things can really fly if you tune them right.

That's pretty good! My little Colt i don't think weighed 1200lbs with a full tank of gas and me in it, it only had 98hp and about 90lb/ft torque, but i ran dead even with that Fiero....he was an auto and i was a 5spd. I'd have won, but i had a shitty launch.

I had that little sucker at 60mph in 8 seconds (give or take, i never truly timed it), fun little car 'til my brother destroyed it for me

Re: ok this is sucking

that was the hp ratings on the 2.8 lol, they were high output compared to those put in the corsica, cavaliers. You could build a monster out of them if you wanted to, but it would cost a pretty penny. The air flow on them is super restrictive.

the 4 bangers were 90 hp on the motor not sure of the torque, 17 sec car for those.

I want a video or even a soundbite whenever you finally run that car. I always wondered what my brothers 3.8 sc would sound like more modified, and with a blow-off valve.
