$800 to spend

I know there are probably 1000 posts on this already, but the search button kept saying not enough words everytime even when I put in 10 so I thought I'd clarify that frist. Well I have $800 to spend on upgrades for my V6 1994 Camaro I just got. It's a coupe and only has Potenzas, Oz Rims, and an Aiwa HU. All I need is some parts that will help with h/p or the look of the car. Thanx in advance!

Re: $800 to spend

You can get an amazing ground affects kit for like $500, if you want to go for looks. And if you did that you will still have enough left over to go to an exhaust shop and have'em bend you some 2 1/2 pipe to improve sound and ponies. Or, you could go with a ram-air set up. thirdgen.org will probably have more info on the V6 ramair kit. What ever you decide, be sure to post it back up here, and let us know.

Re: $800 to spend

You could get an SLP Cold air intake, high flow cats and a decent muffler (magnaflow? Borla?) Powerwise, $800 wont get you too far with a V6..

Appearance wise, im sure $800 will get you a hood off a Camaro SS.. They look Way better than the stock hood..

Or waht about these?? interested?

Cuz I have some for sale!

intake and exhaust upgrades are always a good baseline to start w/. or you could get headers and a cat-back, plus if u have enough get a bigger cat (or just remove it )

Re: $800 to spend

thats what i did.. my welding skills came into play during that whole ordeal.. just cut the thing off n welded on a straight pipe.. then got a Magnaflow exhaust and that gave me a noticable gain for only about 400 bucks.. leave about 100-200 for a cold air intake, and it'd be a lot better than stock.. lol

My main focus would be on power since I only have a V6 so I want to try and squeeze out the most power it has. What would be the most effective way to increase my power for this amount of money? Intake, Exhaust, or another way?

Re: $800 to spend

diablo: he said above he just welded a straight pipe.
The Freak124: intake and exhaust are usually the first upgrades people do. don't have quite enough to get a supercharger. there's really lots of possibilities, but most ppl start there.
