Question new intake

i have a 93 celica gt and im going to throw in a new cold air or short ram intake. today i went and was lookin at my old intake (stock) and there is a wire connecting to where the filter is, (its in teh back and towards the top)....what is it and when i put in my new intake where does it go? thanks nick

your new intake if its made for your car will have a whole drilled in the tubing...thats your air sensor...so you kinda need that...look on e-bay have some cheap short rams on there...got mine for 44 bucks...cheap...makes the engine sound really agressive too...happy hunting

Beware, a lot of the intakes sound good, but cause you to loose hp. Only buy ones that have dynamometer data on a similar engine, and not by the manufacturer. If they did anything, someone would record it. The people who care about hp get dyno results after every change. They don't take chances or depend upon high expectations to get hp.

ive been looking on ebay and there are some air intakes but none say short ram or cold air for 93's?
and some of them say filter w/ intake...does that mean it has the intake piping w/ it even tho it doesnt show the picture? thanks for the help

Dawg, go to 2KRACING.COM you will get intakes for your car! They are short ram intakes but you will get them there

why does it seem like everything skipps the 93's everything goes up to 92 then from 94 up. i can never ind parts for 93's. are the 93's really that different from the 92's?
