Is there a way to release fuel pressure without starting the car? The manual says to remove the fuel pump fuse then start the car until it stalls, then crank it a few times to release pressure. But most of my motor is taken apart and it doesn't run at the moment. I need to release the pressure so I can disconnect the lines, cause the motor is coming out. Any ideas on a simpler way then to put the motor back together completly just to start it once...? Thanks yall.

Can't you simply de-pressurize the system by opening the gas cap? Or do you also need to depressurize further down the line?

Re: s13 KA Fuel Pressure Release?
I ended up just cutting the line that leads from the filter to the rail since it was completly stuck on there. The car had been sitting for like 2 weeks and there wasn't much pressure, but definitely wear some goggles and have a rag ready. o-)
