I got a little problem here....a few weeks ago one of the chips from the ECU burned out, got it rebuilt and everything, but for some reason, now my boost level went down to 6 from the usual 14-15 that I get on a nice cool day.
Called the shop and they have no clue why. I haven't got underneath yet but I'll check the BOV's ad all the vacuum lines to make sure nothing is leaking, but I would like to see if anyone out there had a smilar proiblem, at least you can help me narrow down the problem. thankZ |

Re: Low boost level
It could be going into safety boost. The ECU does this for any number of reasons. Take it to a shop and have them run a diagnostic.
Read up.

Re: Low boost level
like longlivethez said it could be running on safety boost. if you read on it, your ecu gets remap just like factory but at higher boost levels. so if something is wrong, it will drop boost n safe your engine from detonating.

Re: Low boost level
my timing could be off, so I could just retard or advance the timing and that should fix it, or at least I can givi it a try
