Thumbs up Engine Build - Pics

Hey guys, my friend and I have been working on his car for the past month, and I figured you might want to see some pics:

(I'm in the blue)

Taking the head off.

Painted valve cover.

We have to get the engine off the dolly to take the transmission off, and without a hoist, this is the best we could do.

Finally got the tranny off. I installed the new ACT clutch, but don't have the pics yet. The plans for this car are: boost controller, S-AFC II, greddy intercooler, downpipe, ACT clutch, replace timing belt, one step colder spark plugs, and 96 JDM transmission w/ LSD. the only things we havn't received yet are intercooler and downpipe (should come in today or tommorow) and the transmission which ships out on friday. I'll keep you guys posted.

We don't swap them commercially. This is just a summer project that we are doing for fun... anyways, since I last posted, we replaced the timing belt. Mike and i didn't realize how hard it is to get the teeth matched up EXACTLY to the orientation marks while still keeping enough slack to get the tensioner back in. luckily, one of our friends who has experience with timing belts helped us. we got it all done, but snapped a bolt in half while trying to bolt in the tensioner. hehe. I didn't take any pics of the timing belt install (it wasnt that exciting anyways) but the transmission should be coming in the next few days...
