3rd gear

hello once more guys...
When i drive the 525i gets stuck in 2 gear and has a hard time shifting to 3rd (the car revs up to almost 6k). Eventually, if it does move over to third, I get the message: "transmission programme"
- Any ideas??!!!

unfortunately, you need someone familiar with BMW's to 'pull' and analyze the fault codes, the fix could be relatively easy...............................jeffb.
