King of the hill

Could someone give me a more in depth explanation on centrifugal superchargers vs turbochargers?

Re: King of the hill

to be honest he did ask for a "more in depth" explanation.

centrifugal superchargers, in theory, compress air the same way that turbochargers do. They spin a turbine, which compresses air using centrifugal force and push the pressurized air into the engine.
The difference between turbos and centrifugal blowers is that blowers operate by taking power from the crank, and turbos operate by spinning a wheel in the exhaust. What else do you need to know.
