the good the bad and the ugly of a 02 tahoe

Hey guys my dad is looking into buying a used 02 tahoe 5.3 with around 24000 miles on it. i was wanting to know if there were any common problems with this yr tahoe and just what other peoples comments are. Also are the parts widely available for upgrades for performance so on because im sure i woudl like to get a hold of it when i can. thanks alot guys

I bought my 02 Tahoe LS in December of 03 with 22K on it. I love it!! No problems whatsoever. Mine is 2 wheel drive so I can't comment on that aspect of it. I have the 5.3L and I am got I got it. Plenty of power. I would highly recommend a Tahoe to anyone who is in the SUV market.

Same here, my '02 Tahoe is great for my needs. The only limit is the rear cargo space but, that's what the wife's suburban is for!

I agree with the cargo space thing. I took the 3rd row seating out because the cargo space was so very limited with them in. But the Tahoe is a breath of fresh air, especially coming out of a 00 Ford Explorer. It was having lots of issues...numerous thermostats, A/C problems, etc. I will NEVER go back to Ford again.
