Exhaust and Computer ?'s on 95 Cougar
A buddy of mine has a 1995 Cougar. He just put on a flowmaster cat-back and is not satisfied with it. Sound is quiet and wimpy. Now, is the computer in the car OBD I or OBD II? I am trying to figure out whether he can cut off the cats and weld in straight pipe. That should louden things up. Does anyone else make mufflers for this car? Thanks. He is just disappointed with the sound of the ca, not mean at all.

Re: Exhaust and Computer ?'s on 95 Cougar
I too have a '95 cougar and I had a shop put on straight pipes. I've gotten many compliments on the clean yet loud sound the exhaust emits.

OBD II, i have flowmaster 40 series on my 94 and it doesnt sound too bad, has a nice deep rumble, u probably could get straights and fuck the cats w/ no problem, there is computer reprogramers available(or so i heard) that make it seem to the comp that there still is O2 sensors in place.
