My '92 escort stereo wiring

Hey, new to the site. Came cuz I'm puttin a new stereo in my "new" '92 Escort cuz I'm doin deliveries in it. Only problem is the colors are all weird. I'm havin trouble over on the power side. The wires coming out of the car are:
Fat Black (ground i assume)
Blue w/red stripe
Green
Blue w/black stripe
Blue w/green stripe

Can any1 help me locate the owners to these wires? Thankyou very much, my sanity depends on this!

um best u can do is hook up your power and ground and then test each wire in sets of 2 for the speakers and write down what goes where. thats what i did for my 87 blazer

or better yet, im not sure if they will have a diagram on that, but thay might, but go to a ford dealer, go to parts and they can pull up any diagram they have on the entire car, id help but I really dont want to go rip apart my stereo system just to look at the wires.

Post this in the car audio forum, I know they can help you a lot quicker than us gear heads can.

well i figured that it had already been tampered with and wires had been changed but yeah good deal.

Go on Crutchfield.com and order a wiring harness. Makes it insanely simple, and works WITH the stereo you have, pretty much brainless effort.
