engine swap question

ok...I have a SOHC engine in my stealth...and I want the AWD TT engine.

First off...Will the engine be able to fit/work in my car without special mods

Second off...Do I look for a stealth TT engine, or a VR4 engine

Third off...Where do I find said engine?????

Thanks for the help

Re: engine swap question

The TT engine will fit no problem (Stealth or VR4 have the same TT engines)....
The problem with this is the drivetrain layout, the SOHC is FWD and your going to have to change all of that to AWD (too much money and time IMO)

Um, NO.

You can (and may have) bolt the TT engine to the FWD trans.

You will need more than the engine tho. You'll need wiring, intakpiping, ECU, and many other components to make it work .

Check the FWD modifications forum on 3si.org. Their are many user that have done this on that site.

you'll also need to beef up your tranny a little too. Hell, Ty from speed factor is already on his 7th FWD transmission because he keeps shearing the gears or blowing the differential.
