Question

XM radio for 2004 Maxima (aftermarket)

I have a 2004 Maxima that was not prewired for XM radio. I see that there is an aftermarket "AAI-NIS/NIS Auxiliary Audio Input" that plugs into the back of the radio and you can plug in an XM tuner kit. Has anyone done this or knows how it works?
