door panels

i'd like to take my door panels off to upgrade the speakers and do a little painting. i know door panels can be a real pain, so i've avoided them to this point, but i can't take those factory speakers anymore. can anyone help me out with how to remove the door panels and any problems to watch out for???

Re: door panels

there are 6 screws 3 at the bottom of the panel 1 on the side and 2 where you grab to shut the door. remove them and pull the door panel there are clips that hold it on. when you put it back on make sure the piece of plastic that is stuck to the door is on straight because if it isn't water can leak in and it will go under your carpet and you'll never know it. it's just held on by double sided tape or something. it's not hard taking them off or putting them back on. hope this helped

its a u shaped clip that holds the window lever on the gear thing. i used a small screwdriver and a hammer to get it out enough to pull it out with needlenose pliers , if you push the plastic back and look at the window lever, you should be able to see the clip
