power fluctuations
I was wondering if anyone has experienced power fluctuations when their abs engages. Recently I was driving out in the country side, and a coyote happened to dart across the road. I had to stop pretty hard, and My ABS engaged, and the wheels locked up for half a second, and then disengaged, and the vehicle slowed down quickly, but this time my lights flickered, and then my car died. Has anyone experienced this before?

I believe I was running on about a 1/2 tank of gas.

I have a 2001 K2500 with the big block. I took a trip to Texas in the winter a few years back and got caught in an ice storm. My ABS worked flawlessly, and I never experienced your problems. I do see voltage fluctuations from time to time that dim the headlights and such. IT's not the A/C... I just wonder about the alternators sometimes, is that normal for them to dip suddenly for a few seconds? |

Re: power fluctuations
has it just happened to you once. if so you seeing you stopped so fast you might have just got air in the gas line. and for the lights dimming you just put a load on your battery.
