2000 GTP Performance Chips

Im planning on buying a 2000 GTP. I was wondering where can I buy performance chips and who makes the best one. What other mods should I do? Id like to put out the same HP as a stock Camaro Z28.

Thanks

Re: 2000 GTP Performance Chips

z28 puts out a little over 300 i think, most chips out for gtps are programmed to run with aftermarket exhaust, smaller pulley, and cool air induction. Ive heard nothing but good things about the "Digital Horsepower Inc. v1.0 PCM" the chip exhaust intake and pulley should put you well above 300 hp

stock gtp - 240hp
msp cool air induction system - 23hp
exhaust - ~ 10-15 hp
pulley 25-35+ hp (depending on size v pulley, DHP chip designed for 3.25-3.4" pulley)
DHP chip - 20 hp
final ~ 320+ hp (probly around 260 whp)

Cool. I just bought it today! Can I add subs and a amp to a stock radio? Where should I get the windows tinted? What percent should I use?

Re: 2000 GTP Performance Chips

you will need a high-low level wiring converter to add the amp and subs to the stock radio. I know cuz i just did it to my 04 GTP.

Re: 2000 GTP Performance Chips

i got subs in my '00 gtp. I just took the wires from the rear speakers and hooked them up to this little box thing.(dont know what its called) It just simply takes the wires and gives you RCA plugs you can use for the amp.
