Poly-urethane foam, a few gallons of epoxy resin, a shit load of fiber glass. Those are just some of the materials. Most of all, you need lots of experience with fiberglass. Oh sure, it looks easy but its quite the oppisite.

Re: interested in making my own body kit for my 94 cavalier??
I watched a fellow make his own body kit on a berreta what a tedious job he went through. Its been almost a year and its falling apart. He has another kit made from the mold for when it gets worse. Its cheap but theres a reason for it. I also seen a 10 year old kit on a 280Z nissan and it looks brand new no cracks or nothin so i guess it depends on product quality and a proper application procces. Id like to try it some day myself looks like messy fun! How would you make fiberglass good quality like on a ford ranger? The hoods are solid as hell although it doesnt like to be polished at high speeds/temperatures but it still looks fun.
