SOHC to DOHC

I got a 88 civic hatch Dx with the 1.5 SOHC. I was wanted to kno if it is possible to just make it DOHC cuz my friend got an 89 integra engine. I wanted to kno if I could or if i need some modification. the integra is a d16a3 if that helps.

Re: SOHC to DOHC

Not happening mate.

Best bet is to wire up the MPFI swap as a first step and the DOHC ZC motor is the only twin cam that'll fit with no/minor mods into your car.

Re: SOHC to DOHC

Well then I guess I will go full swap. You know of any places maybe where I might be able to get a cheap LS motor wit tranny n everything. If you know of some places let me know.

Re: SOHC to DOHC

my call on that would be grab a b18a from a junkyard you can still run one being the year of your car. same as the LS motor just older and 10 less HP *doenst matter really*
b18c is the code for the JDM ITR and GSR motors there alot more then a LS motor he might not wanta or be able to shell out like that.
