93 4cyl tranny on a 92 v6
My aunt has a 92 v6 auto with a failing tranny. I have a 93 4cyl auto with perfect tranny. What im wondering is will my tranny fit in her car? Same tranny?
Does anyone have knowledge on this? Thanks |

Look on the side and see if the model numbers are identical. If you can't tell, a Toyota parts department can tell from the two VIN numbers.

Re: 93 4cyl tranny on a 92 v6
According to the factory service manual they are different transmissions. The four cylinder is A140E, don't remember the (different) number for the six cylinder, but the manual says it was "specifically designed for the six cylinder engine." If you really need the transmission type number for the six I could look it up.
