SUBARU IMPREZA WRC - in Progress

My new project. It will be the 2001 Impreza driven by Petter Solberg at Monte Carlo Rally.

Body is painted, sanded and rubbed. Started decaling.

Suspension is in the process of modifying.

Tel me what you think so far.

I like the Golf you have in there.
This thread is about your Impreza.
It looks good so far, but the color seems a bit on the light side.

Looks good so far, the blue should look lighter and darker depending on the light, what paint did you use? Also what mods are you doing to the suspension?

If you are lowering the suspension please let me know how you did it because I tried it on this car and really screwed it up.

Tha colour ist tamiya paint - tha racing blue that is required by the instruction sheet.

The modifying of the suspension does not intend to lower the car - since it is the model from Monaco when it comes out of the box I donīt think that any further lowering can be done, cause at Monaco which is a tarmac rally the cars are usually as low as they can be.
I am only removing the molded springs by real springs made from wire.

Show us more pics of your Golf!!!! Also, try and crop your pics (so they load faster on my machine!) However, it's due to the oversized pics I spotted the Golf!

Nice painwork on the Sub, however, I do agree with the guys about the depth of that blue. What colour did you use?

Some progress finally!

It is going slow. I messed up the decal work of the original Tamiya decals. So I bought the Studio 27 decal set for the 2002 car and the studio 27 photo etch parts.

Decaling is now done - Look and tell me what you think.

Now I know why a lot of people complain about Tamiya decals - the studio 27 ones were a pleasure to work with!

Looking good so far! Pity about the decals but could end up being a blessing in disguise!

I'm on my first Tamiya build and will probably be attempting my decals within the next couple of weeks. This is not what I wanted to hear!!

I hate big Tamiya decals, good job and maybe even better that you got S27 decals and PE because now it will be perfect.
Keep up the good work.

Comin along nicely. Luv the seatbelts! I'm not 100% sure, but microsol might get the creases out of the centre box. In failing that you may get away with rubbing with a cotton bud to iron them out.
