cd player output is scratchy
When playing CDs on my 97 Accord, the output from the speakers sounds like a faint, scratchy radio station...like when you get out of range of a radio station. The radio and tape player work and sound fine. I have a stock Honda CD changer mounted in the trunk.
What could be causing the problem with playing CDs? |

Re: cd player output is scratchy
it could be that you need to clean your player.
you can buy CD Laser Lens Cleaner at radio shack for $12.49. http://www.radioshack.com/product.as...ct%5Fid=42-227

It happens on all CDs...
Also, it's worse when the outside temperature is warmer...if it's colder outside, it works a little better and more often... Any ideas? |

Re: cd player output is scratchy
no Honda, we see you, there's just more possibilities than a dirty lens.

Re: cd player output is scratchy
Honda_99, I'm going to try the lens cleaner...thanks for the suggestion...it makes sense that the cleaner may fix the problem...
