96 Blazer brake problems

I have a 96 Blazer that thakes forever to stop. My wife took it to GM dealer and they said it was the booster so she had it replaced. It is a little better but it still takes a long time to stop. Today when the roads were wet she said it wouldn't hardly stop at all and the anti-lock kicked in right at the end. The brake pads and shoes are fine. It takes a lot of foot pressure to stop this thing. I don't think you could stop in a panic situation. HELP!!!!!!!!

Re: 96 Blazer brake problems

Is the pedal stiff?
Cause it sounds like the booster isnt working at all.
Have someone push the pedal and crack open the bleeders to see if the fluid is even getting pressure when you push the pedal.

You are right to be concerned, this is no minor problem.

I would take the thing right back to the stealer cause they didnt fix it.
