it ses 4000watts max and 2000watts rms. i was just woundering what you think about this sub. i have one right now it sounds pritty good but i think i need a nother one. i also have a ported box, i ordered a bandpass box hopefully it will hit a lot harder. You can get a ton better for that cost. What are you looking for? What is your budget? How loud do you want it? how much quality do you want?

Trade in your old sub, for that price I can get you one sub that will blow away both those suckers in clarity and probably in volume too. I can get you an amp for 250, and as for spending extra money on a box, look at a SS, or any decware creations. Your average bandpass will sound really crappy

Maybe get 2 of http://www.woofersetc.com/product.as...4&1=665&3=2747 one per each sub. Depending on what you want to spend I can adjust the costs... Also. A box, you will probably want to build your own if you have the tools, We can get you blueprints.

See i want to be able to shake the cars next to me, or run in a small comp or something like that or know i could run in a small comp. i have a 3 fraud power cap and my lights still dim a little i think i might get a nother one or a bigger altinator, could you point me in the right directions for a biger altinator. Thanks alot

I remember you. You're the one who got the "6000" watt amp that only uses (2) 20 amp fuses. If these guys figured out how to produce 6000 watts from a 14 volt system and < 40 amps of current, maybe they can solve the world's energy crisis next...huh?

Pimp daddy Your sub does not handle more power, your amp does not put out more... Those are not properly rated. I can guartee you on the audiobahns, cause I know that that sub will handle more and outperform that audiobahn due to personal experience and tests. Also, the amp, according to competition standards for amplifiers, you need at least 90 ampheres to pull 800 watts rms. that claims 6000 with 40 amps, it iso nly about 400 watts period. You can't argue electronics when there is only one way to really do things.

caps are worthless... As for shaking cars, if you had a real amp puttin only a real amount of 800 watts, you could shake cars in a ported box. BANDPASS PREFAB SOUNDS LIKE BUTT. I have cause a car in front of me 2 cars to shake the entire car playing rap at a little over half the volume with properly set gains and a good sub and only about 600-800 watts going to a 15. The reason I know it shook is because my friend was sitting in the car. I have set off car alarms with 800 watts, you are not getting 6000watts. Get a worthwhile system the first time around so that when someone pulls up next to you with 1000 watts and a single good 15, you dont get embarassed.

YOU don't need a bigger alternator, run larger wires from alternator to battery, chasis and ground better. Get a deep cycle battery, and for everyone's sake learn what you are doing, dont go maddly spending money on stuff that wont help at all. There are people out there who are hitting in the 150s and 160s with single/dual subs and you are probably barely hitting 110 120 with what you are running. I dont want you to go out and embarass yourself, cause I know you will come back like all the others and say, but these guys helped me with my system... they must be morons. You haven't listened to a word we have said.

haha, just looked at that 6k watt amp drawing 40 amps of current. about the alternator thing though, I had a 95 mustang, and I dont know what year he has but when I was installing my system in there I researched and found I had like a 195 amp alternator because the 93 and earlier years were plagued wioth weak alternators so they just stepped it way up to avoid any possible problems. at least thats what I found.

if you have it sealed it handles ALOT more than it does when ported, and the size of the box matters alsoI think the smaller the box to an extent it can handle more cuz it has more resistance to limit its excursion before it clips, and a larger box lets the cone move further with less effort.(the first parts fact, the second is my take, sao dont trust the 2nd part too much)

and I will have to say if you do put a real amp that puts a proven 2k watts RMS into it, it probably will blow.

Its not that your sub sucks, it is you are wasting way too much money on something not worth it. Also, for the bump you want you will definately need a different amp. Now for the sub, you could hit pretty loud with that sub, but it is not great in clarity and there are subs that hit much louder for the cost, lets say the brahma 15 for example or the
