tired of weak lights!!!!!
what can i do with these crappy lights. even my old 91 accord had a better headlight system than these. the foglights make up for it fairly well on the low beams but the high are horrible. i don't have much money to spend.. unfortunately i had to learn the hard way about these "xenon bulbs" I havent tried the silverstars.. but i have tried the other crap.. yeahs it white.. no its not brighter. I saw a how to on changing the buls to 9007 bulbs.. not srue about doing that.. can you just put brighter bulbs in and rewire the thing?

Re: tired of weak lights!!!!!
Hmmm. I was always happy with the, what were they called...Hyperwhite or something like that from Sylvania. They weren't Xenon, but they definitely were brighter than stock. They came in the purple package, I remember that. You should give those a try.

Re: tired of weak lights!!!!!
You have a couple choices:
1) Upgrade the harness and run the high wattage Nokyas 2) Do the 9007 conversion I did the 9007 conversion and am currently running Silverstars. The conversion is very easy (took about ten minutes) and the beam pattern is much better. However, even when properly aimed, prepare to have a few people bright you as the dispersion pattern isn't quite right as the stock housings were meant for 9004 bulbs. ~THT |

Re: tired of weak lights!!!!!
Harness upgrade is easy to do; call Southwest Autoworks and they'll tell you how much the upgrade is. I think Nokyas run about $20/pair from SWA.

I didn't think a harness upgrade was necessary for the nokyas. I thought they were similar to the piaa bulbs where they're the same wattage as the stock bulbs but shine as bright as a higher wattage? I could be wrong but I'd like to know for sure because I was planning on buying some and don't want to put them in if I have to upgrade the harnesses first, thanks

Re: tired of weak lights!!!!!
Nope, they're definitely of higher wattage; almost double, IIRC.
