I went to kbb.com(kelly blue book) and it says mine is around $4200. I have 124k miles, power everything, alloy wheels, 4.6 v8 and driver/passenger airbags. I ask you this cause a while back, i remember somewhere it said it was only like $2800, is kelly blue book right?? Man i just hope the damages from my accident can be fixed, i miss my baby. On the police report, the officer put down OVER $2500 damage to my car. I know that (i think) if the damage is over the book value, they cut you a check. And they do consider my car "old". Friggin thing was in mint condition i swear it.

Re: What is a 95 Thunderbirds Book Value??
That sounds about right (the 4200) I got around 3500 on a 92 3.8 and was able to keep the car (which I sold for the new motor in it to help buy my current ride) Remember it wasn't your fault so play on that it helped me out a lot and.
Make sure you tell them of any modifications and any recent repairs made. Good Luck.

Re: What is a 95 Thunderbirds Book Value??
If your car gets totalled, usually damages of 80% or more of actual value, make sure that the price they offer is similar to book value. If they low ball you and state the car is not worth that much, find TBirds in your general area that may compare with yours that are for sale and show them what current asking prices are. Repairs and improvements will typically only go back 6 months at a maximum. 3 years ago my '93 5.0 with 111,000 miles was totalled at $11,400 worth of damage and the insurance company paid $4500, which was about right. Had less than 1000 miles on a new rearend (and other parts) that cost $1200 but was installed almost 18 months prior and that was not considered in the value.

Re: What is a 95 Thunderbirds Book Value??
flewthecoupe, yeah, thats what they said today. That if the damage is 75% of the book value, that i get a check for book value. Then they charge me for a salvage fee?? I just hope to god it can be fixed and the frame aint bent. The officar marked down that my vehicle had over $2500 damage. If i get the book value, i'm just gonna get a beater till i save up for a manual 96 5.7L camaro. Thats the car i decided on for my next toy, and i'll see how long that last till some old fart wrecks it. I think older drivers should have to be checked out in order to HAVE the privelage to drive. Give them tests and stuff. Imagine if i was on some motorcycle, i'd be dead, not injured, DEAD. And that old ***** would probably not even get a ticket.

Re: What is a 95 Thunderbirds Book Value??
Yes, they would deduct the salvage fee and give you the balance should you decide to keep the car. If they frame is bent without any kinks in the rail, it can be straighted but it takes a good, okay awesome, shop to get it straight again so it won't crab walk down the street. If the frame is kinked in any place, forget it. Shops can take out the damaged portion of the frame and replace it but it will usually be too strong or too weak and both are detrimental to driver/passenger safety.
