buying '95 4Runner...should I worry??

Haven't seen much activity here, so will try to stir something up. Headed down to see the '95 4Runner in the AM, then to compare with '99 Cherokee at same place. Toyota is 4 years older and $2,000 more. Both rigs seem initially in similar condition; both very nice visually. Toyota looks better. I'm still worried about their V6, just don't know anything about it. Safety Board tests show '95 Toy presents danger to driver.

Perhaps someone will come up with comments before morning.
