Re: lowerin kit, turbo charger

turbo runs off exhaust gases (makes the turbo spool up and force air into the manifold).

supercharger runs of the crank (crank turns a pulley that makes the SC spool and force air into the manifold).

i'm pretty sure there's no such thing as a universal lowering kit. you're probably gonna have some trouble finding parts for your car but google is your best friend in this case. may take a while, but you should be able to find something

Turbos vary from about $2000 up. And you could always just cut your springs.

Re: Re: lowerin kit, turbo charger

forget the crx and get a 1st gen dsm (eclipse gsx/talon tsi) they are almost the same price and way quicker.. hell if you want a sleeper look for a galant vr-4 i belive it has the same motor as the gsx/tsi, and its awd i believe and made in the early 90's i think.. not to sure do the research..

yes for anything that you hold sacred do not turbo or supercharge a hyundai...not only for the fact that youre putting one of those on a hyundai but also its just too much money for what you have...like what was said...if you want a fast car...sell your car and buy one...despite the fact that i generally dont like ricer cars any one of the options listed above would be better than a turbo/supercharged hyundai...id say go with a talon...easy to mod and fairly quick...you could get about 5 grand for selling your car, plus the 4 + gs you would spend on a turbo/supercharger and lowering it and get something nice for around 8-10 gs...thats what i would do if i were you...and thats if you have that 4 or 5 grand you would have spent on your mods ready

Re: Re: lowerin kit, turbo charger

yea i know that you want to be different.. i can relate.. i drive a probe for god sakes.. no one expects this car to be fast but when i put a hole in them its the best feeling.. i love when people underestimate me.. man i say go ahead and work on your hyundai! you be the first and one of the few to have a sleeper hyundai.. its gona be hard but its worth it.. i say do a 2.5 cat back and get a cone filer, next get some bigger injectors, 350cc+ and a safc to turne it then a 255in tank.. get some iridum plugs and upgrade your wires and coil if you can.. but the injectors and fuel pump can be used form almost any car, the exhasut u can get bent at a shop, and ia cone filter is at pep boys with your name on it, just be creative and it will all work, now with the mods i just told you to do.. save up and get a mainfold made and drop a small turbo boost 8psi and youll be good to go!.. good luck

Yes I'm sure your 92 HP engine is a monster eating 99 civics left and right.

Quote:
Hyundai Motor Co. was found guilty of falsifying engine output figures of 15 models of its cars following investigations by the Korean Ministry of Construction and Transportation (MOCT) early last year.

The alleged Hyundai engine hp inflation rate, which varies from country to country, is directly proportionate to car size; i.e, the bigger the car, the higher the rate which reaches 40% in trucks. For example, Avante/Lantra/Elantra is sold in many countries as having a 114 hp engine while in truth its engine output is only 92 hp. It is sold in Korea as having 108 hp engine. Hyundai heavy trucks whose engine output is 255 hp are sold as having 330 hp engines. Hyundai allegedly started to practice such false labeling from 1990.

Hyundai models which are allegedly falsely labeled include Santa Fe, Sonata, Elantra, Accent, Coupe, Trajet, Matrix, Terracan and all commercial vehicle models.
