i have a 98 2.2 manual s-10 and latly ive heard a squeeking noise during acceleration. at first i thought it was coming from the tranny but now that it has gotten louder it sounds like its coming from the rear. u can only hear it when slowing down or accelerating..and when at a slow speed. its not a constant squeek but more like intermittant and it speeds up as the truck goes faster until the noise goes away. i have no clue whats wrong with it so if anybody can help i would appreciate it.

Re: squeeking
have the u-joints greased and have the gear oil checked in the rear end to see if it is low or needs to be drained and filled
